Convocation 2025
The 32nd Convocation of the University of Ruhuna was successfully held on December 10th, 11th, and 12th at the Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Auditorium.
The ceremony was presided over by the Chancellor, Most Ven. Dr. Akuratiye Nanda Nayaka Thera, the Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor P. A. Jayantha, and the Registrar, Ms. Chandrika Seneviratne. A total of 3,129 graduates received their degrees at the convocation.
During the ceremony, 166 postgraduate degrees, 2,812 internal degrees, 149 external degrees, and 2 honorary degrees were conferred. In addition, 96 graduates were awarded gold medals in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
All Deans and members of the academic staff of the University participated in this significant event, marking another successful milestone in the University’s academic journey.
